Ms. Blake joined Futures in January of 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with an academic minor in Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Upon completion of her degree, she accepted an opportunity to work with at-risk adolescents at a national non-profit organization. Ms. Blake proved to be a leader among her peers and was appointed Lead Behavioral Youth Counselor. In this role, she established a running recycle program during her tenure.
Ms. Blake’s passion for helping individuals recovering from the disease of addiction led her to accept her first case manager position in 2013. Her experience in holistic therapy includes performing as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist for one of the nation’s top substance abuse programs. She is dedicated to promoting long-term recovery for clients by building continuing care plans that emphasize life skills and support for early recovery. Ms. Blake’s compassion and professionalism enable her to evoke a positive change in those around her, while also developing a network of strong relationships with quality aftercare providers.
She is currently seeking her Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology, which will allow her to continue providing a higher level of patient-centered care. As a new resident of the state of Florida, Ms. Blake enjoys the beach and warm weather year-round. Her other passions include photography and writing.
