Fatima Is a registered clinical social work intern. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and later completed her Master’s degree in Social Work with a trauma-informed approach with honors from Barry University.
Originally from Queens, New York, Fatima was immersed in diverse populations. Through exposure to diversity, she found the importance of supportive connections, community, identity, and love for humanity.
Fatima has been in the field of public service for a decade; she worked as a teacher, domestic violence advocate and a therapist in both community mental health and private practice settings. Fatima is Spanish speaking bilingual, and her trauma-informed care approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and expressive art therapy techniques.
Fatima is passionate about creating a nurturing, compassionate, and challenging space for all individuals she works with to heal and transform into the best version of themselves.
