Kate is a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Military Police for 8 years and is a National Board Certified Mental Health Counselor. Kate holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Wake Forest University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University. One of Kate’s greatest passions is in having the opportunity to humbly sit with her clients, listen to and learn about their experience, and assist them in finding a healthier means to approach and direct their lives. As a veteran and natural leader, being able to extend her passion for helping our veteran and first responder population to healthily manage, process, and grow through their experiences continues to be one of her highest professional honors.
Based on her clinical passions, skills, strengths and former experience as a military professional, Kate was hand selected as the Primary Therapist for the Hero’s Ascent Program at Futures. Her clinical experience ranges from working with adolescent males in long-term residential treatment for substance use disorders to working with adults, children, and families in addressing various mental health disorders and concerns in outpatient community based counseling programs.
A New England native and new resident to Florida, Kate loves adventuring the ocean and beaches on her paddleboard with her son, Seamus and daughter, Shiloh; and is an avid cyclist.
