Laura Ellick, Ph.D.

Clinical Supervisor of Specialty Programs

Dr. Laura Ellick is a recent transplant to Florida from New York, where she practiced as a Licensed Psychologist since 2001 and is now dually licensed in both Florida and New York. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from The College of William and Mary, where she double majored in Psychology and Spanish. Dr. Ellick earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University and completed her dissertation on the role of cultural factors in the development of disordered eating. Dr. Ellick has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings and has served as a program director and various other important roles in many reputable organizations and is also a speaker, a coach, and works with media in her own private practice. Dr. Ellick has been a frequent TV guest and enjoys teaching and speaking about everyday mental health and relationship issues. She specializes in working with patients with eating disorders and addiction and medical illnesses, as well as depression and anxiety. In addition, she works with men and women who have been involved in relationships and marriages with narcissists and gaslighters and treats the trauma that results from toxic relationships. She is the author of the books Total Wellness for Mommies and Wisdom from the Universe; and her newest book chapter “Narcissists, Gaslighters, Toxic Relationships, OH MY” was recently released in The Wellness Universe Guide to Complete Self Care. Dr. Ellick is also certified in Reiki and is a Zumba instructor and often integrates the use of essential oils into her practice, particularly for patients who are unable to tolerate traditional psychiatric medications.
