Stay Connected, Stay Supported — Embrace the Continuum of Recovery with Our Alumni Program.
At Futures Recovery Healthcare our Alumni Programming offers continuous support and connection through a vibrant community, helping individuals maintain long-term recovery. We provide a range of resources and events to keep alumni engaged, inspired, and supported as they continue their path to wellness.
The Days of Ascent is a two-day program inspired by the “Ascent” statue, symbolizing mutual support and service in recovery. It combines therapeutic activities with the Florida alumni sober outing, allowing current patients to connect with alumni and gain insight into living a sober life.
Unlike traditional “coining out” ceremonies, our “coining in” process welcomes patients into the Futures family. Through the COIN acronym—Courage, Open arms, Investment, and New life—patients are introduced to lifelong recovery opportunities and become part of a strong alumni network.
Our newest addition to the alumni program is Alumni Night, held every Thursday. Local alumni are invited to return to campus for an evening of connection and camaraderie, starting with a 4:30 PM volleyball game between alumni, staff, and current patients. Afterward, participants share a meal before gathering for a 7:00 PM support group, where alumni and current patients come together to exchange experiences and strengthen their sober support networks.
We now offer virtual support groups for both local and non-local alumni, ensuring continued connection and support no matter where you are.
To support long-term recovery, Futures offers alumni optional accountability monitoring services.
Alumni can choose between two services. The first is Soberlink, which provides a breathalyzer that sends real-time updates, including photos, to both loved ones and Futures to ensure accurate monitoring. The second option is Clear Mind Now, which uses an app for randomized mouth swab drug tests. These 12-panel drug screens eliminate the need for lab visits, with results delivered through the app to identified parties. For more information about Soberlink or Clear Mind Now, please reach out to the Alumni Department.

As part of our commitment to ongoing support, Futures provides scheduled outreach phone calls to alumni. During the first year, alumni receive 17 calls, with continued follow-up calls for up to five years. Additionally, our team is always available to offer support whenever it’s needed.
Regular alumni events, including sober outings, volunteer opportunities, and alumni meetings, provide ongoing support and foster a sense of community among former patients.
