Danara is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with ten years of experience working in the field of addiction medicine and mental health. She holds two board certifications, one with American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and one with American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has over five years working as a healthcare provider with concierge addiction programs. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing at NOVA Southeastern University and Bachelor’s Degree at Florida Atlantic University. She received her Post-Master’s to become a PMHNP at the University of Cincinnati, after realizing her passion for serving mental health disparities. She was born and raised right here in Palm Beach County, where her passion for nursing grew after working almost a decade in an HIV/AIDS non-profit organization, providing housing and other social services.
She currently serves as Chair for the South Florida Council of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. She also conveys her previous work experience in many areas including internal medicine, pediatric home health, skilled nursing, ALF and telemetry/medical-surgical units. She brings with her experience, compassion, dedication and empathy with eagerness to provide quality medical and psychiatric care to the population we serve.
