Ronald Philogene, APRN

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Ronald’s interest and motivation to pursue a career in behavioral health set off after witnessing the struggle of those who bravely served in the US Armed Forces while he was working as a critical care nurse at the Miami VA Healthcare System. As he became closer to the military veterans population, his interest in mental health deepened, and he went on and obtained his master’s in nursing at the University of Miami. He is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Ronald is a very compassionate and dedicated provider who continuously strives to make positive and meaningful impacts in the lives of those he has the privilege to serve. His background includes chemical dependency, acute inpatient behavioral health, and has practiced at some of the major psychiatric hospitals in the Palm Beach County area. He also has a competency-based training for suicide prevention, and years of experience as certified trainer for the Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior.

Ronald is a husband and father who enjoys cycling with his family and playing “with” his guitar. He contributes to other causes such as volunteering, on several occasions, with the University of Miami SONHS in educating and providing preventive healthcare to underprivileged locals in remote towns in Haiti where over 3,000 Haitian patients have received care through this program.
