Emily Watter, LCSW
Primary Therapist
Born and raised in New Jersey, Emily earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Elmira College, Elmira, NY in 2006. Upon graduation, she was employed at a psychiatric hospital working with individuals with chronic mental illness. After making her way to South Florida, Emily continued her work in the mental health field at a non-profit agency serving individuals with mental illnesses who were uninsured, underinsured, and/or often times homeless. She completed her Master's of Social Work at Barry University and graduated with Honors. She then moved into the field of substance abuse treatment as a primary therapist, working with clients and their families towards recovery. Emily’s passion for behavioral health shines through her therapeutic alliance with her clients and she is honored to be part of the Futures' team.
