Susan earned her Master’s degree in Social Work at Adelphi University in New York City. She is currently working on attaining her Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW). Susan has been working in the behavioral healthcare field for the past 6 years to address the needs of individuals and families living with addiction, mental health disorders and trauma. Her experience includes working in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. Susan brings her passion and dedication to psychotherapy treatment for individuals and families and facilitates group therapy using CBT, DBT and 12 step modalities. Susan brings both her personal and professional experience in helping and supporting clients with developing strategies and tools to achieve goals and maintain healthy behavioral changes while working towards self empowerment to assist in their healing journey. She believes that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live happy and fulfilling lives. Susan provides a warm safe space in which clients can feel supported and accepted throughout the process of growth and change to overcome obstacles and move forward and thrive in their environment.
