Jayson Williams is the Rebound Program Founder and Recovery Advocate for Futures Recovery Healthcare. His life experiences and his own recovery provide him the unique opportunity to reach many people and to advocate for families and individuals to seek the help they need.
Jayson played for the Phoenix Suns, Philadelphia 76ers, and New Jersey Nets before suffering a career-ending injury and struggling with addiction and incarceration. With the support of NBA colleagues and friends, he entered recovery and dedicated his life to helping others. Jayson launched an adventure-based experiential therapy program for people with addiction in 2016. Modeled after his own path to recovery, Rebound offers a highly structured daily schedule of exercise, mentorship, curriculum, and outdoor excursions like fishing, paddle boarding, scuba diving, and skydiving. The program’s motivational coaching, high-intensity fitness regime, and strong peer-support focus make Rebound an attractive, alternate path to recovery for those who are open to a physically interactive treatment method complemented by medical and clinical support.
Jayson brings with him to Futures his infectious energy, an incredible ability to connect, and a true desire to help people; all of which provide immeasurable benefit to his teammates, the patients, and the culture of Futures.
