Treatment Experience

Futures Recovery Healthcare’s Mental Health program provides a safe, comfortable, and clinically intensive environment conducive to learning, skill development, wellness, and community.

Our primary goal is providing safe, comfortable, and effective care that helps patients make the most of their treatment stay. Futures’ doctors, therapists, nurses, and support staff are as highly skilled and dedicated as they are personable and approachable. The entire Futures’ team strives to be compassionate partners and allies to the patients they serve.

Futures is licensed by and meets the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) standards for residential care. Facilities must meet license requirements through the submission of a completed application, required documentation, and completion of a satisfactory survey.

In the State of Florida, the Agency for Health Care Administration is responsible for licensing and regulating Florida’s health care facilities and for providing information to Floridians about the quality of care they receive.

A welcoming home-away-from-home

All patients are welcomed by a treatment team member and given a tour of the spacious and well-equipped Futures facility and campus upon their arrival. They are shown to their comfortable two-person suite, which features a shared sitting room, private bedroom, and private bathroom. Once settled in, patients are quickly introduced to their treatment team, familiarized with their treatment schedule, and begin receiving excellent care.

Day-to-day

Patients start their day by enjoying a well-balanced breakfast, taking any prescribed medications, and doing life skills like making their bed and laundry.

Daily clinical work begins in a group setting, during which patients focus on setting a daily intention and connecting with their peers. The day proceeds with an intensive and comprehensive complement of treatment services, including psychoeducational groups, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) groups, individual therapy, family therapy, case management, medication management, art therapy, music therapy, mindfulness, and recreation. Patients conclude each day by reflecting on the day’s intention and revisiting their goals and progress.

Connecting with peers and friends has a powerfully beneficial effect on people managing mental health conditions. Building community and mutual support is a primary focus of the Futures Mental Program, and most programming is conducted as a community in group settings.
